NEW ! NAVY FLAKE - Choice Virginia's blended with Latakia $10.00
Using the same blend as Kendal Cream Flake, we have developed this broad-cut mixture for the smoker who enjoys a mild and creamy pipeful. Experience the particularly pleasing room-aroma. 50 gr tin. $10.00 1792 FLAKE 50g This is a full strength, mellow tobacco comprising a blend of dark fired Tanzanian leaf. It is Gawith's best-selling premium grade flake. It starts as 7lbs. of hand stripped leaf and goes through a steaming process prior to being pressed. The cake, having been prepared, is wrapped in a select leaf and packed by hand into a 12 inch square. This cake is pressed and left for a minimum of two hours. Then, the pressed cake is placed into a steam press where it is baked at full heat for two to three hours. The baked cake has then taken on 1792's characteristic rich, dark color. Its hardening occurs during cooling. Once the process of cutting the flake and adding a tonquin flavoring is carried out, hand wrapping and packing finalizes 1792, making it ready for rubbing into your pipe. $10.00 BEST BROWN FLAKE 50g A firm favorite for the pipe smoker looking for a medium strength, gentle and slow burning tobacco. Manufactured using hand-stripped flue cured leaf, each cake comprises 7lbs, wrapped with selected prime wrapper leaf. After initial steaming, to achieve a pliable leaf, the "cake" is pressed and cooked for approximately 1-2 hours, sufficient time for the tobacco to develop its characteristic medium brown color and its distinctive nutty aroma which can only come from the combination of prime leaf and the experience and knowledge of the person making the flake. No flavors are added to best brown flake although a sweetener is added to best brown scented. A good, even smoke, with no tongue-bite $10.00 COMMONWEALTH MIXTURE 50g This bicentennial full strength blend of 50% heavily steamed Virginia and 50% Cyprus Latakia, gives honor to the Tobacco Lords of Glasgow and the Commonwealth of Virginia which laid the foundation for the tobacco industry that built much of this country. The Commonwealth fulfills the desires of the demanding full flavored smokers. $10.00 GROUSE-MOOR 50g Envision a hunt on the Moors, with the dogs scenting through the heather along the Lakeland banks as they track the grouse and pheasant, and you will possess the vision that inspired Samuel Gawith to create this co rnerstone pipe tobacco of his young company. An original blend going back 200 years, Grousemoor conjures up an image of the Lakeland scenery with its accompaniments of seasonal scents. The blend and flavors that go to make up Grousemoor remains a secret that is only known by 3 people in the company. Using a combination of hand-stripped flue cured Zimbabwe leaf, Grousemoor is first steamed prior to being cut. After further steaming, to give Grousemoor its own golden color, the cut leaf is stoved and "rested". The final stage of production is the addition of a unique melange of flavors.
